what to expect - acupuncture and chinese medicine

What Should I Expect During my First Appointment?

Your initial visit will last about 80-85 minutes and will include a comprehensive consultation about your main health concerns. Additionally, we will review your complete health history, asking a wide range of questions regarding your health, diet and lifestyle. The practitioner will also examine your tongue and feel your pulse and abdomen in order to retrieve diagnostic information that is unique to Chinese medicine.

After the initial intake, the practitioner will determine a diagnosis and will discuss a treatment plan with you. Some people experience improvement after only a few visits, others may require several treatments, depending on the seriousness and length of their condition. Acupuncture, herbs and dietary modifications may be recommended.

What Others Say...

"It's been about a year since I've started acupuncture treatments at On Point with Amara Huckabone. I originally went for neck pain, the result of the remnants of Lyme disease, and  everyday stress. Since that time I have developed a trust in Amara's skill and knowledge in her discipline. The care is aimed towards addressing my general well being and the localized pain in my neck. The treatments are successful on both counts.
